Founding idea of samplistick: the time is now!
samplistick™ was developed by Daniela Mündler. While working in the beauty industry – especially with and on the field – she realized that the potential of product samples was not being used. The sampling system does not work properly by design and is unable to heal itself. So Daniela decided to take the chance and founded her own company, using own funds and support from a broad network, The first product passed the market test and was launched in December 2022. samplistick GmbH was able to impress in various start-up competitions and is supported as a green start-up by Dt. Bundesstiftung Umwelt. First sales are being generated and national and international attention is currently leading to a large number of inquiries.

samplistick™ enables responsible beauty consumption by reinventing the step before the actual purchase takes place.
With samplistick™ consumers are able to make sustainable purchase decisions through a combination of their own product experiences and data-based knowledge.
Consumers get free access to the entire universe of cosmetic products. For self-determination and the fulfillment of individual beauty ideals.
And so the story begins...
1979
While other elementary school kids paint, craft and copy poems, Daniela paints her father's eye makeup for his birthday.
1988
The German edition of ELLE magazine arrives on the German market and immediately turns into Daniela's "bible". From now on advertising of major brands decorates her room and later her first apartment. She convinces Berlin perfumerie deocrators in her neighborhood to buy the showpieces.
1995
A first indication of her later career choice: Daniela is completing an internship with Helena Rubinstein (L'Oréal Group) in Düsseldorf. In the evenings she studies French with a retired teacher in order to be able to talk to her colleagues during lunch break.
2010
After various jobs at L'Oréal and LVMH (Dior, Givenchy, Kenzo, Fendi), Daniela begins to work for Douglas perfumery HQ. When participating in a management meeting in April 2010 she witnessed a passionate discussion about test samples and bottling in stores
2016
By joining Bahlsen in Hanover she takes over responsibility for one of the biscuit manufacturer's plants. But the idea of designing a new sampling system never entirely left her mind. So Daniela irritats the local quality assurance department with intrusive questions about food law, which in certain aspects applies to the distribution of cosmetics as well.
2021
The time is now - samplistick GmbH is being founded to redefine the rules of product sampling
2022
- Registration of trademark rights, application for patent.
- Launch of the first product
- 100% market relevance confirmed by customers and sellers
- The first retail partner uses the samplistick™ system in 4 stores
- Analyses show a repeat purchase rate of over 30% generated by samplistick™ within 4 weeks of issuing the individual sample of choice
- Promotion of samplistick™ by the German Federal Environmental Foundation (DBU)
- samplistick™ is awarded third place in the KUER.NRW business plan competition
2023
- Distribution of the samplistick™ app in the Google and Apple stores
- Other retailers are convinced by samplistick™ and are actively using the system in the sales process
2024
- Granting of the Europe-wide patent for the samplistick system
- Pre-seed financing round of 700,000 euros closed
- Extensive reporting on samplistick™, including Handelsblatt
- The pre-series is completely sold out, samplistick™ goes into series production
- All NIVEA stores are equipped with samplistick™
- Weleda was won as a partner and uses the samplistick system in its own city spas
- samplistick™ impresses the purchasing cooperative beauty alliance and receives the listing
- Distributor rocket.beauty, a subsidiary of NOBILIS GROUP GmbH, uses samplistick™ for its fragrances
